Cottesloe Beach Club

In 2010 MJA was engaged by the Prendiville Group to re-brand and re-establish the former beer garden at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel as an essential Western Australian hospitality destination.

The result is ‘The Beach Club’ a product of collective nostalgia and memories of the beach shacks, shelters and backyard parties we have all experienced in Cottesloe. 

The design consists of a series of weatherboard outbuildings and open air pavilions which define a number of expanding and contracting outdoor rooms and ensure the opportunity for varied experiences by the user throughout the development.

This design approach has led to a seamless transition between inside and out and enables significant views to be captured.
